Linus Oliver Lum was born at Glendale Memorial Hospital in California on October 24th, 2009 at 4:55pm. He was 7lbs. 6oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. He has two wonderfully happy (and sleep deprived) parents, Dorka and Kevin. His hobbies include breastfeeding, sleeping, pooping, an occasional cry, and making faces that lead you to believe he is working on an update to Newton’s 2nd law of force, angular momentum and energy.

<<UPDATE!>> At one year old he has turned into quite a little boy! Waving, pointing, pushing buttons on anything, making noise with anything he can get his hands on, climbing and attempting to run is the new order these days. Tofu, popsicles, and puff puffs are his favorite foods. He does it all with laughs and smiles as his parents desperately try to keep up.

<<UPDATE — MARCH 2011>> The first quarter of this year was full of changes, progressions, and a consistant build up to our temporary move out to New Orleans. (See previous posts for more details!) Throw in a round trip visit to Australia and this beautiful boy has travelled more than 16,000 miles or 25,750 kilometers by air in the last 3 months. He is as happy and radiant as ever. (Mommy is still recovering.) Linus can sign over 20 words by now, and also verbalize most of them. His favorite words are “viz” (hungarian for water) and “more.” Blueberries, french fries and pancakes are among his favorite foods at the moment. His most prized possession is his personal set of keys that comes with a whistle, a hooting owl, mini flashlight, an old Volvo key, and the key to our apartment which he demands to use to open EVERY door. Riding the St. Charles Street Car and going to Audubon Park, the Zoo, the Aquarium, the NOLA Children’s Museum, and splashing in puddles are his favorite activities!
